Where does your coffee come from?
Each of our blends includes our Gorongosa green bean, grown by farmers on Mount Gorongosa, in Gorongosa National Park, Mozambique. The rest of our beans are sourced from multiple countries in Sub-Saharan Africa including Rwanda, Ethiopia and the Democractic Republic of the Congo.
When is my coffee roasted?
We roast every Wednesday! That means your coffee is roasted shortly after you place your order and within one week of arriving at your doorstep.
Is your coffee fair trade?
We are aiming to formally get Fair Trade certification for our Gorongosa green bean by late next year. If you’d like to learn more about how we compensate our farmers on Mount Gorongosa, please drop us a line at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What is your relationship with Gorongosa National Park?
Gorongosa National Park cannot sustain itself solely on donations and tourism. Gorongosa Coffee provides a key sustainable finance mechanism for Gorongosa National Park, buying coffee grown by local farmers and then selling the coffee internationally and sending all the profits back to the Gorongosa Trust to support economic, education, health and environmental initiatives in and around Gorongosa National Park.
Are you a nonprofit?
We are an LLC and with a single shareholder, the Gorongosa Trust, which is the trust that funds conservation and human development initiatives in Gorongosa National Park. That means, 100% of our profits funnel straight back into helping make the park sustainable!

Do you ship whole bean or ground coffee?
Both! You can choose at checkout.
When will my order ship?
Your order will ship within two days of roasting and six business days of ordering, as we roast depending on the frequency and magnitude of orders.
Can I cancel my order?
Because our coffee beans are roasted-to-order, there’s a small window for us to cancel your order -- but we’ll do our best to help you out if you email us at email@example.com.
Do you accept returns?
Because coffee is perishable, we don’t accept returns. However, we do believe in our coffee and want every customer to be happy with their cup! If your shipment is damaged or you have a concern about your coffee order, email us at firstname.lastname@example.org within 30 days of your order date and we’ll send out a replacement in no time!
How soon will my order arrive?
Most U.S. orders arrive within 4-7 days of placing your order. Internationally, arrival time varies by country. If you’d like to know more, email us! email@example.com.
What shipping carrier do you use?
We ship all coffee with USPS. In the U.S. we use USPS 2-day Priority Shipping. Internationally, USPS Priority Shipping takes between 6-10 days, depending on the country.
What happens if my package never shows?
Let us know! We’re still getting our systems sorted, so please do shoot us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org if you ever have an issue with your order.
